Privacy Policy
1. Summary
DronePoint is designed to collect as little personal data as practical. We process mission inputs to generate KMZ files, use limited technical logs to operate the service, and rely on Lemon Squeezy for paid checkout and payment records.
2. Information We Process
- Mission data: coordinates, polygons, waypoints, takeoff point, altitude, overlap, camera, terrain, and export settings submitted to generate a mission file.
- Location search: place searches sent through our server to a geocoding provider.
- Browser location: if you permit geolocation, your browser may use your location to center the map. This is controlled by your browser permission.
- Technical logs: IP address, user agent, timestamps, request paths, error data, and security diagnostics.
- Payment/customer data: name, email, country, tax information, invoices, subscription status, refunds, and payment metadata handled by Lemon Squeezy and shared with us as needed to provide paid access.
- Support messages: information you send when contacting support.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to generate mission files, provide support, secure and debug the service, maintain paid access, comply with legal obligations, process refunds, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.
4. Legal Bases
Where applicable privacy law requires a legal basis, we process data to perform a contract with you, pursue legitimate interests in operating and securing DronePoint, comply with legal obligations, and honor consent where required.
5. Retention
Mission data is intended to be transient and used for generation. Download files may remain temporarily available on the server for delivery and cleanup. Technical logs are typically retained for up to 30 days unless needed longer for security, debugging, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or dispute handling. Payment and tax records are retained by Lemon Squeezy and may be retained by us as required for accounting and legal obligations.
6. Sharing
We share information with service providers only as needed to run DronePoint, including hosting, map/elevation/geocoding providers, support tools, and Lemon Squeezy for paid transactions. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer.
7. Third-Party Services
- Lemon Squeezy for checkout, merchant-of-record/reseller functions, taxes, invoices, refunds, subscriptions, fraud checks, and payment support.
- OpenStreetMap/Nominatim and map tile providers for maps and location search.
- OpenTopoData, Open-Meteo, Terrarium, or similar elevation sources for terrain data.
- Google Fonts for font delivery.
8. Cookies and Local Storage
DronePoint may use browser localStorage to remember UI settings and paid access keys. Lemon Squeezy checkout and customer portal may use cookies or similar technologies under Lemon Squeezy's own privacy terms.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal data. You can contact us at [email protected]. For payment data, you may also need to use Lemon Squeezy's customer portal or support channels.
10. International Transfers
DronePoint and its providers may process information in countries other than yours. We use service providers expected to apply appropriate safeguards for transferred data.
11. Children
DronePoint is not intended for children under 13, or a higher age where local law requires. Do not use DronePoint if you are not legally permitted to operate or plan drone activity.
